Calm, Clear, Happy: An Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation
Would you like to be more grounded and present? Would you like to be able to savor the good moments in life? Would like to be able to let go of stress more easily? Then mindfulness is the key skill you are looking for. This ancient meditation practice is simple yet deeply powerful and can be done anywhere, anytime, by anybody. Even if you feel your life is over-the-top busy and your mind is hopelessly distracted you will be able to benefit from this practice.
This one-hour introductory class will consist of instruction, practice, and discussion. It is led by Peter Williams, who has meditated for 25 years and has been teaching meditation for 15 years. Peter has completed the Community Dharma Leader training through Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Peter leads mindfulness groups in Boulder, CO and teaches meditation retreats in the Rocky Mountain West. He has taught mindfulness in a wide range of settings – at churches, universities, environmental gatherings, school teacher trainings and to Colorado juvenile justices.
The program will be held in both Spanish and English and is open to all levels of Spanish (and English!) speakers.
