“Alejandra was the most wonderful host in her home this evening. By mixing it up this time with a short movie clip in Spanish along with new vocabulary (for me) mixed with drinks and snacks – very enjoyable”!
Love movies? Love Spanish? We do too!
Alejandra Russell brings her infectious enthusiasm, creativity and fun to this regular workshop focused on the cultural voices of Spain and Latin America expressed in this unique art form. Typically, she will utilize either short films or excerpts from feature-length films to highlight great actors, artistic scenes, cultural nuances and/or impactful life lessons.
We will incorporate a variety of activities to expand your vocabulary and improve your understanding of idiomatic expressions and slang. To enhance your viewing experience, we like to offer snacks or tapas, and a selection of sodas and adult beverages.
Alejandra Russell is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a bilingual student, educator, yoga instructor and mother of two amazing children. Since 2012, Alejandra has volunteered her enthusiastic leadership to a local Spanish conversation group and observes that many Americans, Europeans and native Spanish speakers have a strong interest in sharing their experiences in Spanish language and Latino culture. She offers individual and group conversational Spanish classes to mature teens and adults.
Alejandra discovered yoga as a way to achieve peace and balance in her personal life, far from her cultural roots. As a 2014 graduate from Full Circle Yoga in Longmont, she is certified to instruct yoga and currently offers Spanish language yoga classes.
