Michael Ehrenburg- Teacher/Translator
Michael grew up in the suburbs of New York City in Northern NJ. Being surrounded by a Spanish speaking community from a young age, he immediately began investing in his future by committing himself to learning Spanish fully. To that end, his undergraduate degree was in Spanish Language and Literature, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hendrix College in Conway, AR.
He spent one year of his undergraduate studies fully immersed in Murcia, Spain, studying at La Universidad de Murcia, focusing on coursework dealing specifically with Spanish linguistics and Spanish Language Learning. His work experience spans from translation clients such as Villon Films (Digging the Spanish Earth, 2017), document translation for CU Boulder, and Pasco School District 1; to working as a Bilingual 4th grade elementary school teacher and private language tutor. He is also a member of the Colorado Translators Association.
Michael is currently studying a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Colorado at Boulder with a focus in communication disorders in bilingual children. As a result, his focus is in the neurological underpinnings of language learning and incorporating his evidence-based theoretical understanding to help increase language retention, while also making sure that it’s presented in a manageable and relaxed environment.”
